The annoying thing about working is having to commute to work and back every day on the MRT! It's so crowded and sometimes it makes you feel like your privacy has been violated when the train is too packed. And also, I get annoyed when other people blast their music into their earphones and you can hear the beat going *boom boom boom* when you're not even near them! And seeing the acts of inconsiderate people every day.. It's sickening. Is it so hard to wait for people to alight from the train first before you barge in?? Ugh.

Anyway, enough complaining haha. I'm actually in a good mood now. Lately we have been playing this PSP game called Patapon 2! It's a rhythmic game - you have to follow the rhythm to move or to attack. Hee! It is so super cute!

No prizes for you if you guessed that my supervisor still isn't back from his ultra-long leave. Seriously. With 5 interns on your project, don't you think you should have been back TWO weeks ago already? Grr.

Today I'm a happy girl. Finally bought my Starbucks mug this morning! And am satisfied with my results for last semester. Motivated to study hard for my final semester now!

Looked up on lasik surgery just now.. My dad isn't supporting it cos he said what if I become blind? But daddy! Blindness could occur only if there are serious complication such as infection or scarring. And it's very rare! Oh well, even if he approves, I'll still need approval from the refractive surgeon AND I have to wait for my GPC to go away/heal completely I think. :(

Anyway, I'm happy that it's Friday! 1 more hour and we're off! Have a great weekend everyone!

I haven't been up to much lately besides work! Met Taina & Dawn for some pasta & coffee few nights ago and had a good time catching up. We tried to shop but it turned out rathe unsuccessful. I think it's because online shopping's getting better these days. And also, we have this "syndrome" where when we are looking to buy a particular someting, we are never able to find it! But when we're not looking to buy anything, suddenly A LOT of nice things pop up in front of you. Which is why I conclude that if I ever find anything that I really really really like, I should just buy it first la hahaha. (I can see the bf rolling his eyes at me now) :P

Oh and we had dim sum yesterday! Which was not too bad but I think no dim sum here is even close to being as yummy as the ones back home. But I have finally discovered to-die-for cakes at PS Cafe. Wenz, is this the place that you went to with Thea last time? The outlet at Plais Renaissance is so pretty! I want to go back for more! But probably not too soon or I won't be able to fit into my jeans anymore.

2 weeks of work is over already. 10 more weeks to go! Time did fly quite fast I think? Well, our supervisor is finally coming back tomorrow. Sein Chyi and I were practically abandoned kids cos even our co-supervisor took leave after our our first 1.5 weeks at work. Please give us proper work to do or I'll eventually die & rot away in office already. :(

I was telling Sein Chyi about these $1 coins of mine.. I started collecting them this semester! Guess how many I have now! Or you can try to count from the picture if you have a lot of free time.

Reading Kyla's latest post just reminded me that a year & a day ago, we were jet setting off to Bozeman. And one year ago today, we arrived in Bozeman and saw real snow for the first time. And the behind of a bear on the way into Yellowstone too! Now one year later, we are all back in Singapore & Taina is here. Instead of seeing each other from dawn till dusk, we try to meet up at least once in 2 months or so..

This Sunday is going to be Mun & Carol's turn to embark on their adventure! I am excited for them and also praying that the swine flu will go away ASAP so that we don't have to worry about them!

Time passed by faster during work today. I think I would like work more next week onwards because our supervisor would be back then so we can get started with our project, and get proper assignments, rather than not knowing what exactly we are supposed to do now.

I got a new roommate today. And Sein Chyi got reallocated to my hall! My block! My level! Hahaha we'll really see each other a lot this holidays! I hope you don't get sick of me, SC! :P

Talked to the Internal Revenue Service Center people in US again.. And then talked to the Social Security department too. Really don't get how they could screw up the spelling of my name on my federal tax refund cheque. Gotta send my current cheque back to them now and wait for them to rectify the problem.. I am just praying that there won't be any glitches with reissuing me a new cheque. This money can be used for my traveling after I'm done with my internship lo! Sigh.

Wenz helped me get the C&K bag that I saw & really liked in 1U. I was sorely disappointed to find out that the C&K here doesn't carry that particular bag but the dear girl is going to bring it back to Sg for me. Happy! Especially since my bag strap is almost giving way already.. I guess I overloaded it one too many times with all my school stuff for the past few sems!

Best of all.. Bf's flight is touching down at Changi on Friday morning. :)

Ok la, wanna blog more but I am super tired already. Traveling about an hour to work and another hour back every day is really exhausting.

Geez. My 7 days at home is already coming to a halt. It was nice to relax at home though. And I guess my parents do give in to us more now that my sis and I are away from home most of the time. But anyway, as much as I love this comfort zone of mine, I'm leaving home again in about 10 hours. Heh I guess this explains why I've abandoned this space for the past week.

Didn't shop much except for shoes - which I always seem to get when I'm back home for a break. I guess ultimately, I still prefer Vincci shoes. Plus, they are cheaper too! Missed watching He's Just Not That Into You when they were airing it in Singapore so I caught it here instead. Surprisingly the movie was released later in Malaysia. It was just an okay movie, my favourite bit was Neil & Beth's story which had a typical sweet ending but I love happy endings like that. And also, yay to RM7 movie tickets and caramel popcorn! (:

I hardly baked this time around, but happily feasted on pasar malam snacks, my mommy's cooking, seafood, bak kut teh, sushi, kuih, pancakes & bacon, etc. And dim sum tomorrow morning if everyone wakes up on time and no one changes the plan! Packed my bag real quick this time because I didn't take much things out of my luggage bag in the first place. Managed to squeeze in all my shoes this time including their shoe boxes! Yay! After a gazillion years, I've finally realized that I can flatten the shoe boxes and just fold them into a box again when I'm back in Singapore.

Alrighty kinda lazy to ramble on about my week, so.. Here's something funny my sis & I spotted at Cold Storage. Off to watch one more episode of One Tree Hill before I go to sleep heh.
